FPSO Whakaaropai
The FPSO Whakaaropai is a converted tanker with a SOFEC external turret and topsides facilities. Installed in 114 meters (375 ft) water depth, the FPSO was located on the Maui B field offshore New Zealand.
The FPSO Whakaaropai was the first FPSO installed in New Zealand waters, which MODEC was selected as the turnkey contractor. The FPSO featured the world's then-largest external turret.
