MODEC HSSEQ Management System

Management System Structure

MODEC's Integrated Management System (IMS) is hierarchically arranged addressing matters more broad-range at the top and gradually becoming more focused at the lower levels. An overview of the hierarchy is outlined below with a summary of each level in subsequent sections.

HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY, ENVIRONMENTAL & QUALITY (HSSEQ) POLICY

The HSSEQ Policy defines the HSSEQ principles that guide the company in fulfilling its purpose and strategic direction.

HSSEQ STANDARDS FRAMEWORK

The HSSEQ Standards Framework (this document) defines the base expectations and performance objectives that all business processes are required to address and integrate measures that ensure the performance objectives are fulfilled. This document shall be reviewed at least every three years by MODEC Group HSSEQ in collaboration with the MODEC Group HSSEQ Executive Committee.

GROUP MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The policies, processes, and procedures of the Group IMS outline specific activities in line with the Framework that are essential for providing consistent and harmonized business operations across all MODEC group companies.

BUSINESS UNIT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The policies, processes, and procedures of Business Unit Management Systems outline specific activities consistent with the Framework and Group IMS requirements (as applicable) that are necessary for the business unit to fulfil its purpose(s).

WORKSITE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

The worksite management systems outline the processes for managing activities and aspects for a specific project or facility and are only applicable within the facility or project in which they are issued.

The worksite management system makes provisions for client- and/or country-specific requirements to be incorporated into the IMS. Where the Group or Business Unit Management System documentation satisfies the country- or client-specific requirements, direct reference or use can be made to such documentation.

Although the HSSEQ requirements have been integrated in the HSSEQ Standards, the decision of whether to comply with these HSSEQ Standards by means of a single integrated system or separate systems is at the discretion of the individual project or facility.
