The FPSO Prof. John Evans Atta Mills is operating in approximately 1,500 meters water depth on the TEN (Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme) fields in the Deepwater Tano contract area offshore Ghana.
MODEC was responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, mobilization and installation of the FPSO, including topsides processing equipment as well as hull and marine systems, and converted the VLCC Centennial J into the FPSO. SOFEC designed and provided the external turret mooring system.
This is the second FPSO MODEC provided and operates in offshore Ghana following the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah MV21 which started its oil production in 2010 on the Jubilee field.
MODEC owns the FPSO and provides the operation and maintenance service for the FPSO all through the period of the charter contract.
