The FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba MV24 is located in the BM-S-11 block (Iracema Sul area) in the giant "pre-salt" region of the Santos Basin with its water depth of 2,200m.
MODEC converted the VLCC Sunrise J into the FPSO. The FPSO is capable of processing 150,000 barrels of oil per day, 280 MM standard cubic feet of gas per day and has storage of 1,600,000 barrels of total fluids.
MODEC was responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, and mobilization. SOFEC designed and provided the spread mooring.
Production started in the middle of October, 2014. MODEC owns the FPSO and provides the operation service for 20 year period.
